History…

Stathos Construction & Engineering Co. was established in 1986 by John K. Stathopoulos, P.E., a former structural engineer for The Babcock and Wilcox Company. Having the desire to own and operate his own company, and having the competitive advantage of being a Certified Professional Engineer, he founded Stathos Construction & Engineering Co. and specialized in commercial and industrial General Contracting with the ability to perform Design/Build services.

In the early 1990’s Stathos Construction & Engineering became actively involved in the art of historical restoration. In a partnership with the Ohio Historical Society, Stathos Construction & Engineering had the privilege of restoring the Presidential Home’s and Library’s of Warren G. Harding and Rutherford B. Hayes, the Historic Tallmadge Circle Church, the Quaker Town Meeting Hall, and many other monuments throughout the State of Ohio.

In 2007, the newly rebranded Stathos Construction Co. entered its second generation as Theo Stathopoulos assumed operating duties and ownership of the business. With a background in Civil Engineering and decades of experience with the company, Theo continues to uphold the same values the Stathos name was founded upon. While continuing to expand upon our Commercial and Industrial portfolio of projects, Stathos Construction Co. has evolved by developing a track record of completing numerous affordable housing New Construction and Occupied Rehabilitation projects through programs with the United States Department Housing and Urban Development, State of Ohio Tax Credit Development Department, and Ohio Department of Energy.
